Salma Hayek relies on 'strange' practice to keep her 'looking 20 years old'
Salma Hayek has revealed how she stays looking so young, and it’s not Botox. The 56-year-old actress is constantly admired for her beauty and youthful looks, and now she’s letting fans in on her secret.
The star rose to fame in Hollywood when she was cast in Despardo in 1995, after becoming a telenovela star in Mexico. Nearly three decades since her rise to fame, Salma Hayek‘s still looking as youthful as she was back then. So, we take a look at what her secret really is.
Salma Hayek has “No Botox”
Speaking on the Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, with TV star Kelly Ripa, Salma revealed that she doesn’t have any botox, and instead, uses non-invasive beauty treatments, such as radiofrequency and micro-frequency machines, that refine and tighten the skin.
“I do a lot of the frequency machines and they work on me better than on anyone,” the movie star explained.
“The people that do the machines say that the results I get, they don’t get with other people.”
The actress also relies on her “strange” meditation practice, where she feels energy “dancing” throughout her body.
She feels it ‘invigorates her with energy’ and ‘enhances her appearance’, and revealed her health and physical appearance are both affected negatively when she gives it a miss.
“And just the meditation … sometimes when I’m doing it, people tell me when I come out of the room, ‘Oh my God, you look 20 years old,’” she revealed.
“When I don’t [meditate] for some time, guess what? Not only [does] the face starts to drop and everything starts to drop, [but also] my herniated disc, the problem in my neck, the problem in my hip, my ankles [comes back]. I start breaking down,” the 56-year-old explained.

Earlier this month, Salma showed off her toned body in celebration of National Bikini Day. After seeing the photo proved such a hit over on the ‘gram, they then treated her followers to a video in celebration of reaching 25 million followers.
Instagram fans couldn’t get over how good they looked as they rushed to the comments to compliment the star.
“She is 56 years old and looks like 36 omg,” wrote one.
“I can’t believe how great she looks for her age. My god she’s smoking hot,” commented another fan.
The video even got the attention of music star Drake who commented: “Let’s get her to 50M asap.”
The star ‘doesn’t fear getting older’
Salma recently revealed she ‘doesn’t fear getting older’ lately, in a birthday tribute to her mom over on Instagram.
In the caption she wrote: “Happy birthday mom 💐 I see you and the fear of getting older goes away.”
Fans rushed to the comments to wish Salma’s mom a happy birthday, and to comment on how well, and alike they both looked, as one wrote:
“She looks like her momma both gorgeous!”
