Fans Rally Around Luke Bryan After Losing His Voice Due to "Excessive" Cheering
It's nothing but silence for singer Luke Bryan and fans are sending their best wishes his way.
You know that rush you feel when you're watching a really intense sports game? Well, when your favorite team is battling for the National Championship, you can't help but cheer. Unfortunately, in Luke Bryan's case, he kind of went too hard and lost his voice while cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs during their game against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Monday, January 10. To be fair this was Georgia's first championship win in over 40 years, so as you can imagine, emotions were running high. Until further notice, the "That's My Kind of Night" singer is on vocal rest—doctor's orders!
In true Luke Bryan spirit, he's making the most of his vocal rest before his shows at Crash My Playa in Mexico. Luke and his wife, Caroline took to social media to poke a little fun at Luke's situation.
Caroline posted a fun photo of her quite literally taping up Luke's mouth. She captioned the post with "He’s on vocal rest after his EXCESSIVE screaming at National Championship game …. can’t say I’m too unhappy about it! I plan on talking nonstop and annoying the hell out of him. 😈"

In the video, he's in high spirits and asks fans to "pray for his voice" during vocal rest. "Hope your voice gets better soon 🙂 You did an amazing job!", "Hope your voice comes back for Crash My Playa next week!!! While we send Luke wishes to get well soon and wait for his voice to get better, we'll be playing "Up" on repeat!
