Darwin Nunez's woeful first touch makes him 'look like he's wearing Timberland boots'
Darwin Nunez's woeful first touch makes him look like he's wearing Timberland boots according to Gabriel Agbonlahor.
The former Aston Villa striker has slammed Nunez and labelled him the worst Premier League signing of the season so far after his slow start to his Liverpool career. Despite scoring in his first two competitive appearances for the Reds, Nunez has not netted since and was sent off on his home debut against Crystal Palace last month.
Speaking on talkSPORT, via Sport Bible, Agbonlahor did not hold back with his analysis of the Uruguayan after being asked to name the worst top flight summer signing.

“When I look at Nunez as well," explained Agbonlahor. "I feel like even his first touch is not that great. We were quick to call Lukaku Timberland boots when it was trending on Twitter when he was having bad touches in games. Nunez looks like he has got two pairs of Timberlands on.”
Liverpool forked out an initial £67.5million to sign Nunez from Benfica in the summer after he scored 34 goals in 41 appearances for the Portuguese giants last season.
However, he has been constantly ridiculed by rival fans since his arrival, with footage of his training ground misses and poor touches going viral on social media throughout the summer.
How many goals will Darwin Nunez score this season? Let us know in the comments section below.

His run without a goal has continued into the international break, despite Nunez playing the full 90 minutes for Uruguay on Friday as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Iran in Austria.
As a result of his slow start to the campaign, Nunez has largely been forgotten about in the race for the Premier League golden boot, unlike fellow summer signings Gabriel Jesus and Erling Haaland.
For Agbonlahor, he believes the Brazilian pips the new Manchester City striker to the title of best summer signing, adding: “Best signing is Gabriel Jesus for me.

"Haaland has been outstanding, but City always did well without Haaland and scored ridiculous goals without Haaland. Gabriel Jesus has turned Arsenal into something else. They have got a striker now who doesn’t labour when he is pressing defenders.”
However, he did heap further praise on Haaland, admitting: “I just look at Haaland and even when he's not having a good game, he'll leap in the air and tap one in. He's like from a different planet.”
