Donnis Gay Stewart, 87, of Ellisville passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024, at her residence. She was born, along with her twin brother Don Pitts on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1936, in Ovett.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, from 9-10 a.m. at Pecan Grove Baptist Church in Ellisville. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. The burial will then take place in Walters Cemetery. Rev. John Cockrell will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years LD Stewart; son Bobby Stewart; and parents Marion and Celia Pitts.

Survivors include son Lance D. Stewart (Melissa); daughter Sheree Buckhaults (Keith); grandchildren Randall Buckhaults (Jessica), Jennifer Scrimpshire (Jason), DeAnn Bond (Mickey), Amanda Ingram (Barrett) and Lauren Stewart; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Russell Hamm, Randall Buckhaults, Gordon Pitts, Chris Pitts, Junior Everett and Jason Scrimpshire.

Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Ulmer, Bryan Ulmer and Dion Sumrall.
